I am a native of Portland. I attended Wilson High School where I was an all-state soccer player. During my sophomore year, I met a beautiful girl named Jacqueline. We have been together for 21 years now and have three lovely children; our daughter, Carson (9) and two sons, Michael and Gerrit (7 and 6). We enjoy spending time together with our three dogs (two labradors and a pug), playing outdoor sports and boating in the summer.
I received my Bachelors degree in Biology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas. I attended Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry and received my DMD degree in 2002. After graduation I spent one year at the Portland VA Medical Clinic where I received my certificate of General Practice Residency. I studied extensively in the associations of Oral Health and General Physical Health. I spent much of my time working with medically compromised patients, which greatly benefits my practice today.
My first dental practice was in Sisters, Oregon, where I practiced there from July 2003 to December 2006. As the first dentist to offer minimally-invasive dental care in Central Oregon I became quite popular with the media. I was featured on the local television news station as the first dentist to offer one-appointment crowns and veneers. I have been featured in local and national dental magazines as an expert in laser dental care, and featured in local newspapers for innovative technologies and minimally-invasive dental care options.
Since purchasing my new practice in Beaverton we have undergone a beautiful renovation to offer a modern and relaxing environment for all our patients. I am excited to be working with my brother to provide the best dental care possible to the Portland-Metro area.
I began working with Dr. Kris Blodgett soon after he bought his practice in Beaverton. I have been a dental assistant for 11 years and the best aspect of my job is developing a rapport with my patients. It has been a pleasure working in a progressive, innovative environment that is dedicated to high quality dental care and patient health.
I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Portland in 2001. My husband and I have been married for over 5 years and enjoy hiking and kayaking and all of the recreational activities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. This winter I will be continuing my education and pursuing my degree in Environmental Science.
I graduated from the Oregon Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1999, and have been working as a full-time hygienist in private practice ever since. As a recent member of the Blodgett Dental Care team, I am enjoying meeting the patients in the practice, and I look forward to getting to know each one on an individual basis in the years to come. I truly enjoy and appreciate working in a state of the art office, as it allows me to offer and provide the absolute best in dentistry. As a hygienist, I take pride in providing individualized care for my patients and helping them achieve their dental health goals.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, my boyfriend, Jesse, and my eight year old iguana, Kermetta. Some of my hobbies include: traveling, reading, exercising, snow skiing, boating and wakeboarding.
I have just joined the Blodgett Dental team and look forward to working with my new co-workers to provide excellent service to our patients. I bring to the team over 20 years of management experience in client satisfaction with five of those specifically in the dental field.
The most satisfying part of my responsibilities will be assisting patients in obtaining optimal treatment while minimizing out of pocket expenses as well as assisting patients without insurance to schedule affordable treatment plans.
I was raised in New Castle, Nebraska and migrated to the Portland area in 2000. My fiance and I have 4 beautiful daughters ages 26,24,22, and 15.
We enjoy road trips on our Harley and spending time boating on the Columbia River with our family. We also keep quite busy with various Church activities.
